3 Issuers Most Affected by Trump’s Speech on Iran
Jakarta, Pintu News – President Donald Trump’s speech on the Iran conflict this week triggered sharp movements in global financial markets, including US stocks. The surge in oil prices due to geopolitical escalation created a clear distinction between stocks that benefited and those that were negatively affected.
This also affected the crypto and cryptocurrency markets, including Bitcoin and Ethereum , which are sensitive to macro dynamics. Analysts noted that at least three stocks showed the most significant reaction to this development.
1. APA Corporation (APA)
APA Corporation (APA) has been one of the stocks that has benefited the most from the rise in global oil prices. As an oil exploration and production company, rising commodity prices directly impact earnings. Since the beginning of January 2026, APA stock has surged by about 96%, reflecting a strong bullish sentiment. The technical pattern shows the formation of a bull flag, indicating a potential continuation of the uptrend.
The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator also shows consistent institutional fund inflows, with the current value hovering around 0.18. This indicates that large investors are still supporting the stock’s upward trend. On April 2, the price reached $43.93 but failed to break the resistance. If it manages to break through $43.98, the upside potential towards $49.80 to $65.06 is wide open.

2. Carnival (CCL)
On the other hand, Carnival Corporation (CCL) is under pressure due to rising fuel prices, which is a major cost component. As the world’s largest cruise operator, the company is highly sensitive to fluctuations in oil prices. Since February, CCL shares have fallen about 10% and are moving in a bearish trend. Geopolitical uncertainty is also pressuring travel demand, worsening the company’s condition.
On April 2, CCL shares fell 3.54% after Trump’s speech prolonged fears of a prolonged conflict. Although it had previously shown signs of recovery, the momentum stalled due to negative sentiment. The nearest support is at $23.80, while further declines could take the price to $18.41. A recovery is only possible if oil prices stabilize again.

United Airlines (UAL) is also under significant pressure from rising jet fuel prices. Fuel costs account for about 25-35% of the airline’s total operating costs. Within a few days, UAL shares fluctuated sharply, reflecting its high sensitivity to energy prices. After rising 14% at the end of March, the stock fell about 8% after Trump’s speech.
UAL closed at $92.21 on April 2, down 3% in one day. This drop also put the stock back below the level of its 20-day moving average. Since February, UAL shares have fallen about 28%, reflecting continued pressure. If oil prices remain high above $110, the potential for further declines remains open.
