The three major ecosystems that will be conducting such token releases are Ondo , Official Trump (TRUMP), and Arbitrum .

These releases will add liquidity to the market, but also have the potential to trigger short-term price fluctuations and increase volatility. The following is a breakdown of the key points to note for each project.

Arbitrum (ARB)

Unlock Date: January 16
Number of Tokens to be Released: 92.65 million ARB
Total Supply Released: 4.99 billion ARB
Total Overall Supply: 10 billion ARB

Arbitrum is a layer-2 solution for Ethereum designed to increase transaction speed and lower gas fees. It uses an optimistic roll-up protocol, which processes transactionsoff-chain while maintaining the security and decentralization of the Ethereum network.

On January 16, the Arbitrum team will release 92.65 million tokens to the market, worth approximately $18.88 million. This amount represents about 1.86% of the total circulating supply.

Token distribution is done as follows:

56.13 million ARB will be allocated to the team, prospective team members, and advisors,
36.52 million ARBs will be given to investors.

Ondo (ONDO)

Unlock Date: January 18
Number of Tokens to be Released: 1.94 billion ONDO
Total Released Supply: 3.39 billion ONDO
Total Overall Supply: 10 billion ONDO

Ondo is a blockchain-based protocol focused on the tokenization of real-world assets (RWAs). It brings traditional financial products such as US government bonds onto the blockchain, by offering yielding and regulatory-compliant tokens, aimed at both institutions and DeFi users.

On January 18, Ondo will release 1.94 billion tokens to the market, valued at approximately $772.42 million. This amount accounts for 57.23% of the total supply of tokens already in circulation.

The distribution of these tokens is planned as follows:

825 million ONDO will be allocated for protocol development,
792.05 million ONDO for ecosystem growth,
322.56 million ONDO will be used for private sales.

Official Trump (TRUMP)

Unlock Date: January 18
Number of Tokens to be Released: 50 million TRUMP
Total Supply Released: 414.36 million TRUMP
Total Overall Supply: 1 billion TRUMP

TRUMP is a Solana based meme coin associated with the US President, Donald Trump. The token was launched a few days before his second inauguration in January 2025. This meme coin was created as a tribute to Trump’s resilience, especially after he survived an assassination attempt in 2024.

On January 18, 50 million TRUMP tokens will be released, with a value of approximately $271.5 million. This is equivalent to 11.95% of the total supply currently in circulation.

The token distribution will be split between two parties:

45 million TRUMP will be given to the creators and CIC Digital 3,
5 million TRUMP will be given to the creators and CIC Digital 6.
