The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Travel Rule is a global regulation issued in 1996, where it requires all financial institutions to provide additional information when asset transfers occur between more than one institution. This rule is held to prevent money laundering practices globally. In 2019, FATF recommended that the regulation also be applied to digital assets.

What is the FATF Travel Rule?

To ensure the safety of your transactions on Pintu, you will be asked to add the recipient&rsquo;s full name and residential address when you&rsquo;re about to send crypto to other wallets/exchanges.



We suggest you to save those information in the Address Book so you don&rsquo;t have to fill in the recipient&rsquo;s name and address information every time you want to send crypto to the same wallet address.



The implementation of Travel Rule on Pintu is also in accordance with Bappebti&rsquo;s regulation, where information about the recipient&rsquo;s wallet address, full name, and residential address must be included when sending out crypto.

How does the FATF Travel Rule applied on Pintu app?

The fee of sending crypto adjusts to the gas fee required by blockchain. The fee is paid to blockchain miners, not Pintu.
The more busy/loaded blockchain network, the higher the fee that has to be paid to miners so transaction can be prioritized.
This fee is constant per transaction and does not have anything to do with the tokens being sent.

Why is the cost of sending crypto to other exchanges/blockchain addresses other than Pintu is expensive?

Several exchanges/wallets require MEMO as an additional identifier to receive crypto, including Pintu.
Make sure you send crypto assets to the destination wallet that belongs to the recipient to avoid erroes, because sending assets to a wrong address/memo may cause permanent asset loss.

Why do I have to input MEMO to send BEP2 crypto assets?

You can find Pintu Transaction ID and blockchain hash (for send/receive transactions) on the Transaction Details page.
Here&rsquo;s how:
1. Go to the Wallet page.

3. Tap the transaction whose ID and hash you want to see.

4. You will enter Transaction Details page, Transactions ID and hash can be found on that page.

How can I find Transaction ID and hash?

There are 2 ways you can do to add a wallet address to Addressbook.
Here&rsquo;s how:
1. Save a wallet address after you send crypto asset.
2. Add a wallet address manually via Addressbook settings. On Pintu app, tap the Account menu at the right bottom of the screen &rarr; Tap My Address Book menu &rarr; Tap Add New Address button. You can either add addresses of fellow Pintu users or other wallets/exchanges.

How to add a wallet address to Addressbook?

Pintu can&rsquo;t help return crypto assets that have been sent to a wrong wallet address. Crypto transactions are irreversible.
Please make sure the address you are sending to exactly matches the recipient&rsquo;s address before sending.

Can Pintu help return crypto assets sent to the wrong wallet address?

No. Sending tokens does not require native coins as a gas fee.
Pintu has simplified the process of sending assets to other crypto exchanges. The gas fee required will be converted into the form of asset you want to send, making the transaction simpler.
For example, when sending IDRT/USDT, you don&rsquo;t need ETH because the gas fee has been converted automatically into IDRT/USDT by Pintu.

Do I need to have native coin assets for gas fee when sending tokens on Pintu?

You can send crypto assets that you have on Pintu to other wallets. The methods for sending crypto assets are differed based on the destination wallet, below are the steps to send crypto assets.

There are two ways to access the Wallet page. First, you can tap the wallet card of each asset at the top of the Home page. Second, you can tap the Wallet menu at the bottom of the screen, then choose the crypto asset you want to send.

To send crypto assets to fellow Pintu users, you can input their Pintu account username. To send crypto assets via blockchain network, you can input the recipient&rsquo;s wallet address.



As an alternative, you can send crypto assets to a wallet address that&rsquo;s already been saved in the addressbook. You can also send crypto assets to the addresses that you recently used as a destination.

Input the amount of crypto you want to send. You can input the amount you want to send in Rupiah or the crypto asset. To do this, tap the arrow button on the right of the send amount column. Pintu will calculate the value of the crypto asset based on the price at which the transaction is made.

Check the details of the transaction you&rsquo;re about to make, because crypto transactions can&rsquo;t be canceled. If all the details are correct, confirm the transaction by tapping the Send Now button. We will send a notification when the transaction is successful.

How to Send Crypto Assets

Send Rupiah as Rupiah Token (IDRT) to all over the world on various blockchain networks.
Follow these three simple steps to send IDRT from Pintu to another wallet:

Click the send Rupiah button on the Rupiah card on the home page or on the Rupiah wallet in the wallet menu.

Transfer Rupiah as IDRT

There is no minimum amount to send crypto assets.
However, when you send crypto assets to the blockchain, please ensure that the amount of the asset you send is greater than the gas fee to avoid transaction problems.

Is there a minimum amount to send crypto assets?

Sending crypto assets to fellow Pintu users is free of charge.
However, sending crypto assets to a blockchain will be charged with a gas fee according to the amount the blockchain requires (if it has a different gas fee calculation mechanism between blockchains).
The gas fee charged to your transaction is the fee that applies at the time of the transaction, please note that gas fees are subject to change at any time.
To figure out how much the current gas fee is, you can try accessing Wallet &gt; select the crypto asset you want &gt; tap Send, select receiver&rsquo;s address, set send amount, tap Next &gt; see Blockchain Fee on the send confirmation page.
You can also send the message &ldquo;/fee&rdquo; to Pintu Telegram group or visit <a class="notion-link-token notion-enable-hover" href="https://pintu.co.id/fees" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-token-index="5" data-reactroot="">pintu.co.id/fees</a>.

How much is the gas fee to send crypto assets on Pintu?

If you receive an error message when sending crypto assets to other exchanges/wallets, please contact our Customer Support team and attach a screenshot of the error message.

What should I do if I receive an error message when sending crypto assets to other wallets?

Blockchain transactions require settlement time. Bitcoin transactions generally take 30 minutes, while other assets take 5-10 minutes. If your transaction takes more than the specified time to complete, you can check your transaction on the Blockchain Explorer.
To access Blockchain Explorer, you can

<li>Select an asset</li>
<li>Go to the Transaction Details page by tapping the transaction which status you want to see &rarr; Then tap View in Block Explorer.</li>

If the transaction is declared invalid on Blockchain Explorer, please contact our Customer Support and share us your Pintu ID, Pintu Transaction ID, Blockchain Transaction ID, and a screenshot of the Transaction Details page.
If your transaction is declared valid, but hasn&rsquo;t been received by the recipient, please check the transaction with the recipient&rsquo;s wallet.
